Story & Experience
This is the Marr Ice Piedmont which covers the majority of Anvers Island. The part of the glacier that sits just behind Palmer Station has receded an incredible amount over the years, and much of the bare rock that is shown exposed in the picture was once covered with Ice as little as 40 years ago. Thanks for letting me be a part of this important event.
