Story & Experience

As in the past, the water well in my yard was the focus of a private event. I have become very saddened by the many findings of pesticides in the drinking water throughout Denmark, forcing many public wells to close or relocate water sources. Efforts to solve the problem include combining water from unpolluted wells with those that are polluted. All this is very sad and scary, both for our children and for our future generations since pesticides in many forms and shapes are still being used by the majority of farmers here. Luckily organic farming is on the increase. Global Earth Exchange was celebrated in grand style this year, as it coincided with my celebration of reaching 70 years in my wonderful life. Here are a few photos from around our well. We are grateful for this water, because Denmark is currently experiencing a heatwave.
