This pear tree with whom I have developed a reciprocal relationship has been damaged by humans.

I spoke to the tree, thanking her for all of the experiences and communications we’ve shared over the past five years. I expressed my sorrow for the ways in which she’s been harmed. And I made a bird with fern frond wings, a braided grass body, and a bouquet of dandelions for her tail.
