Story & Experience

This year, I placed the Radical Joy banner on our front door along with the “welcome but keep your distance” sign and a heart from Montpelier’s annual Valentine Phantom who leaves hearts ALL OVER Montpelier. The hearts are a welcome sight in mid February and particularly this year as we were all sheltering in place because of the COVID pandemic. We are a small household of folks in the high-risk age category ranging in age from 68 to 90 and are still very much centered at home with Peter and my mother. During this time of upheaval of everything, I have found happiness, satisfaction and comfort outside tending the gardens and to my mother’s needs. Everything we need is right here. With community heart, self care, and radical joy. We are thriving in these hard times.
