Story & Experience

It was a very beautiful ceremony—I kayaked out onto the estuary, and beneath the osprey’s nest (their recovery after near extinction is a story of hope fulfilled by care and action) poured clean waters from the bay (which is opposite the polluted estuary) into the waters of the estuary offering prayers of thanks and prayers for healing. and when we returned I created a Radical Joy bird out of the shells of shellfish and crabs who are being affected by the pollution and placed it on an old mooring log in the marsh grass that cleans the estuary. It was wonderful to know we were sharing our efforts with those of others all over the world and seeing the pictures from everyone else was inspiring and uplifting.
