Story & Experience

Name: Carrying water in for the fasters: Honoring ALL Wounded Places
Number of participants: 11
Act of Beauty: Making the bird as we called in all the wounded places we could think of; then sending prayers and blessings (and Reiki) to all those places, including any wounded places in ourselves.
Notes: Due to the necessity of having to get water stashed on the mountain for our Condor fasters, with no other date possible, Rooty and I changed plans. Rather than go to our Halaco site, we decided to hold the event with all those who volunteered to schlep water on the mountain with us. Our site is most profoundly beautiful, and it was a blessing for us to return to this site and drink in its blessing. As we placed each piece of the bird, we named a wounded place or places. The bird being complete (and nested) we then directed our prayers to all those places and to all the groups that were joining the event all over the world. People’s hearts were very touched to participate in such a ritual.
