Story & Experience

Steele

I have been working in a team with survivors of concentration camps, torture, beatings, multiple rapes. The people are so brave and so appreciative of our treatments, and when I think about it, what are we doing, not conventional medicine, but we are using our hands of love and compassion and our intention to make a soul connection.

Our Act of Beauty was to spread rose petals on the steps of the fountain in Pigeon Square in Sarajevo. The rose has a place in the heart of Sarajevo. Women from Montenegro and Sarajevo joined us as we shared stories.  Passers by read our poster, took photos and signed their country. The sign says “Earth Healing”, somehow it seemed gentler than woundedness in this very wounded but vibrant city.. we decided to remain in the centre to be with the entire city. Also a group in England were connecting in and friends in Ireland.

Thank you so much for your work on raising awareness of our wounded places and our wounded selves and giving me the understanding that by connecting with these, performing our acts of beauty with each other and our beautiful earth, that healing is occurring and my compassion (and passion) has permission to emerge.
