Story & Experience

I just stayed here in a volunteer project and I don’t know the area so well. This place, the forest over here, is still quite untouched and pure although every day I walk through it I see littering all around. That’s why I have chosen this place.

We have chosen as representative for the whole jungle a place where between small, light trees there was a trunk of a cut tree. We sat around it and meditated all for themself to get in touch with the place and the spirit of the forest, to rend calm and arrive at our innerst self. We brought beautiful things, treasures we had collected throughout the day in the forest, like woodsticks, roots, feathers, flowers, fruits, seeds. I started with one of the pretty gifts making a loud prayer for this forest and put it just at the trunk. So, we started, one by one, doing prayer and wishes for the health and wellbeing of the forest, mother earth, humans and all beings. Actually at the beginning we wanted to do a gift-circle but suddenly it came with this clear intention that those wishes didn’t want to stay in a close circle but get out in the world in the form of an outgoing spiral. At the end we asked the wind to support us to bring the wishes in the world to get fulfilled as the windhorse is doing in the tibetan tradition and I sang for closing the ritual the song “Spiritwind.”  While the ritual was lasting monkeys came very close by and watched as curiously and were not at all afraid. They kept watching us while playing lovely around us. It seemed as they also felt what was going on and joined the ritual in their own way.

Reflections of Participants:

Silvia: I dearly admire and appreciate nature and therefore I liked the idea of gathering together on a specific day and worshiping with other people all around the world in order to collect energy to bring beauty back to harmed places in nature.

I have done rituals before but yet not so often. Therefore I was glad Noemi took the leading part and I could just join in as much as I liked and felt comfortable with. It took me some time to warm up but after a while I really liked to spend time devoting my awareness to nature hoping to continue this also in the future. Thanks Noemi for your idea in participating.

Lakshita: Mother nature ….I find myself short of words to admire her beauty, her soul. I always thank her whenever i see around beautiful landscapes, cute birds, sound of water falls and what not, everything I have I owe to nature. I had never heard of a ritual before  for energizing nature, until recently when I met Noemi.

I found it really amazing, we sat in a circle and then meditated letting the energy to flow, monkeys watching us curiously and i think they also wanted to contribute on their part. It was such a great feeling,I wish and hope that more and more people are aware of nature and just feel being with her.

Noemi: I felt very touched that those 2 friends, a swiss and an indian, participated in my ritual. At the beginning I only knew that I wanted to offer to the spirit of the forest treasures of its own, honor in this way its beauty. And I wanted to start with a moment of silence and getting in touch with ourself and our surrounding. Already this moment of silence created a peaceful deep atmosphere and the wishes we made later on came directly out of this inner wise and peaceful source, where we dived in. It was simply touching. Deep serenity and seriosity. It seemed to me the whole forest was watching us and participating. And since this ritual I feel the presence of the forest different, stronger, clearer, warmer, like a soul of a friend embracing me in the heartily connection.
