Overfished, contaminated bay

Story & Experience

Our Global Earth Exchange took place in Paracas, Peru, a beautiful bay that is being overfished and contaminated. We kayaked our way to the other side of the bay, which is a natural sanctuary, picked up a bunch of the plastic littering the beach, made a bird out of it (and a dead bird that likely died of eating too much plastic debris), and spoke of the significance of that place and the challenges it faces.
