Story & Experience

A showery, blustery day, we made the steep hike up to this High Place we chose for the outlook over Belfast and much of Northern Ireland. We took shelter on the ascent from a heavy cloudburst which Debbie felt to be clearing and cleansing.
We created our bird from wildflowers and sticks or rather the bird created herself.
For me, she is a gorgeous phoenix bursting from the belly, rocks and caverns of the landscape.
Debbie talked about the healing she felt to be occurring in Northern Ireland, the changes, the frightening history and hope for our future. We were both joyful and very glad to be there on that spot. For me, I breathed in some welcome softening about me.
