Story & Experience

We did our Glacier Bay Radical Joy event early! The weather was beautiful yesterday (in the low 60’s and no rain!) We walked out the Nagoonberry Trail in Gustavus, Alaska (just outside the boundary of Glacier Bay National Park) to the beach and put our feet in warm sand. In honor of the oceans, we made a driftwood/lupine/styrofoam/plastic whale. (A nagoonberry is a low-growing local berry that tastes like a combination strawberry and raspberry.) Our group included five women and two children, ages nearly 2 and 4. One woman had to leave early, but three out of the four women are in each photo (one was taking the pictures.) We are happy to be a kickoff for the worldwide event on Saturday. Thanks for providing a way for us all (worldwide) to honor the world we live in.
