Story & Experience

I went to Folly Beach—James Island County Park—they have been “refurbishing” the beach by laying down miles of ugly pipe 3 miles into the ocean and pulling up sand and replenishing/transporting sand miles down the beach with pipe on beach front. It felt like such an invasion and now there is a lot of rocks and debris on the beach (already broke my toe walking during the full moon!). I even have no idea why yet, however, when I finished creating my shell bird and took pictures, I burst into tears! I sat and did not want to leave her. In addition, one wing was supposed to look in flight but sometimes looks broken. Mother Nature will “replenish” with our help and the ocean waves will wash away all our fears and tears
