River has been “drying up” and salmon and native species of fish and eel are no longer able to live in it. [Diminished] water for Marin County and [?] lots of logging. So tons of sediment in it. Used for commercial pot growing
— Act of Beauty: A mandala in a Goodrich tire buried in the sand by a large earth mover.
Reflections:
The River is home
More accepting than humans
Endlessly patient
Also read a Rumi poem, “An Awkward Compassion”
John: Life and death stand together. The river, though diminished, continues to flow.
Marilyn: Great shame at being human and knowing that this too much be healed. Sense that the river does not pick and choose what it likes. It just flows. Doesn’t discriminate. Non-judgmental, perseverant.
