Ash trees damaged by ash borer

Story & Experience

Kreves

The Ash Borer is devastating trees in the Eastern USA. Washington Crossing Historic Park has lost many ash trees due to this insect. I miss those trees, so this year I went to the park on the New Jersey side, where there are many stumps where trees had to be cut. I sat alone with the cut trees and tried to let them know how grateful I am and how sad I am that they have had to be cut down. I made a bird with plastic and pieces of bark and leaves that lay nearby. I do feel a little bit of closure after this Global Earth Exchange.
