As part of our Spirit Spring series, we welcome Rabbi Ellen Bernstein. Ellen writes, teaches, speaks and consults about the role religions—in particular Judaism—can play in response to our daunting environmental predicament. She is the founder of Shomrei Adamah, Keepers of the Earth, the first national Jewish environmental organization in 1988. Her new book, Toward a Holy Ecology: Reading the Song of Songs in the Age of Climate Crisis, with a foreword by Bill McKibben, will be published in February.
