Story & Experience

Lissa has been able to join us in Moscow and get some distance from the social upheaval in Haiti.* The clay bird she made today has found its way into the rafters of our back porch where we have experienced water damage around our chimney. We are very happy to have Lissa with us in Moscow and hope her clay bird brings some dryness to our rafters.

*Editor’s note: Ceramic artist Lissa Jeannot is from Haiti, a county ravaged by political corruption, violence, and extreme weather. For several years, she has been spending summers at Moscow Clayworks in Moscow, Pennsylvania, where she teaches classes and works on her own art. Moscow Clayworks is owned by Frank Goryl, an artist, educator, and community leader who travels frequently to Haiti.
