{"id":7233,"date":"2019-06-26T20:34:43","date_gmt":"2019-06-27T03:34:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radicaljoy.org\/?p=7233"},"modified":"2023-03-01T09:21:09","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T17:21:09","slug":"lone-loon-on-the-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radicaljoy.org\/stories\/lone-loon-on-the-water\/","title":{"rendered":"Lone Loon on the Water"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mid-morning, one Community Member created a Loon out of branches and flowers.\u00a0 She made her offering and left it floating on the pond.<\/p>\n<p>A few hours later, more people visited the waters, recognizing that the waters currently with us might have taken many other forms throughout Earth&#8217;s history: Rain, River, Ocean, Cloud, Tears of our Ancestors, Blood of Dinosaurs, Refreshing Drink to Thirsty Animal or Plant Being.<\/p>\n<p>We then recognized the dishonoring atrocities happening to water in these times- hydraulic fracturing, nuclear cooling, industrial toxification.<\/p>\n<p>We spoke our prayers and tossed flower petals into the water&#8230; as one young man played the didgeridoo, the loon began to move with the ripples caused by the sound.<\/p>\n<p>May our prayers support a shift in consciousness that leads to the healing of the waters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mid-morning, one Community Member created a Loon out of branches and flowers.\u00a0 She made her offering and left it floating on the pond.
