Story & Experience

Hughes

Just finished earth exchange at the site of the Olympics—where the woodlands were taken away. It was scary being there today / trying to cross highways. So went to the remaining piece of woodland beside the site (picture attached) and took flowers to the edge of the building site to lay them in honour of the plants that were destroyed. I found old traffic cones and tried to make an image of the bird with them—more pics to follow. I saw a limping fox at the edge of the site with me. It was a very sad experience. Hard times. Eventually two stray dogs started barking at me and I left the spot. I’m so glad I returned there because I saw the total neglect for nature for the sake of games that will only last a few weeks. Thanks to the GEE for enabling me to bring attention to this.
