Story & Experience

KC3S0029

As I finished my time with the sea and the shore, the wind and the waves, I saw this lonely little figure lying there. This sea turtle was about 8 inches long. It obviously perished in misery, upside down, unable to turn over. It is just a picture of death. Not a picture of how we have harmed this beautiful coast line.

But this little sea turtle made me cry.
Maybe because it died alone amongst the litter and debris
of the shattered sands, among broken pieces of tubes,
discarded shoes, bits and pieces of various man-made
objects.

I admit that the beach doesn’t look that bad.
But it is possible to compare it to how it
looked before.
And it is still possible to just sit there
and feel the beauty.
