Our annual Global Earth Exchange has always been about the”exchange” of gifts between you and a place you love that’s been hurt or is under threat. The place has given so much to others—plants, waters, animals, insects, humans… So, on this particular day each year, we humans give back.
After the past difficult year, this act of reciprocity is the whole point!
Consider bringing to your place an object that represents your own recent challenges. Share stories of how you’ve coped during the past year, and how you’ve hurt. Note what’s hurt and coped in the place you’re spending time with. Finally, weave your personal object into the gift you make for the place out of materials the place itself offers you.
