Earth Exchange Cafe Conversation with Jo Huxster

Published On: June 18th, 2021

Jo Huxster, professor of environmental science at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, has been fascinated with learning about how the natural world works ever since she was a small child harvesting edible plants on her family’s farm. In this Earth Exchange Café conversation she shares why she has hope despite her extensive knowledge of climate change… her astonishment at the creativity and commitment of her students… why she made the difficult decision to bring a child into the world… and why she always concludes her Climate Communications class with a group Global Earth Exchange. Jo is young, smart, articulate, and committed to living with ecological challenges in positive, creative ways.
